See, I love grocery shopping. LOVE IT. My dad and I used to go together. Probably part of why I like it so much. I like to get a list drawn up of what I'm going to cook that week, then figure out what I'm missing to make it. I usually go in with a game plan, in which I hit the outside areas (bakery, produce, bulk, and deli/frozen) and avoid a lot of the internal isles. If the store is clear enough, I'll go and look for a treat or two.

I think the other big thing is deciding when to go. FOR EXAMPLE, I avoid grocery stores at all cost on Sunday afternoon (ironic, since I went today... oops). While the little hispanic girls in their sunday best are adorable, it is entirely too crowded for me to handle.

So... yeah. That's how I do it. =)

In the south they don't believe in self-check out. I don't think we have had a single grocery store here that we could do self-check out. What do you think that says about our system here? Plus, the cashiers tend to not be that horribly bad. Mostly they flirt with Mack and give me the side eye. ;)

Self-Checkout Fresh and Easy--get in and get out without having to talk or wait for a single person. I suppose if they get more popular there will be lines, but so far so good.
